Following the RAAM with FedEx’s SenseAware!

I remember when Mattea was going through chemo how many boxes of things my sister got to the house. They were supplies to help with treatment and maintain her. They ranged from feeding bags and trach neck ties to saline and medicine. Some of the medicine needed to be cold or had to be delivered in a certain time frame so she could get it on time. I know there were a couple times when things didn’t come when they were supposed to and I can imagine how nice it would have been to have a tool like FedEx’s SenseAware!

SenseAware makes it possible to not only track the location of your package with GPS but also the current weather conditions like barometric pressure, temp and humidity. SenseAware is a wonderful tool especially for those in healthcare or any field that you need to track your packages because of sensitive materials. I also love that unlike delivery confirmation type options, you can track in real time with SenseAwares online application!

This year FedEx Custom Critical sponsored the Ohio CycleWorks bike team in the Race Across America(RAAM). The race is actually known as the “Toughest Bike Race”. I had never followed before this year purely because until recently I wasn’t very interested in any type of racing. With my own fitness goals in mind though, I really wanted to follow along this year. The race started on the 16th in California and Ended in Annapolis, Maryland. CycleWorks crossed the finished on June 22nd. The team was racing for a wonderful cause. They were raising money for the Akron Children’s Hospital.

You can check out the SenseAware Tumblr page here to see the progress they made through the race and to give you an idea of how wonderful the SenseAware technology is!
